Catch up again

So last Friday was the last week of daycamp.  Boy had his most bestest summer ever!  What a great bunch of leaders and volunteers this year (and yes, I sent a letter to the powers that be letting them know how happy we were).
So the grandparents are now pitch hitting the care for this week.  Tomorrow we go up to the school to meet the new teacher, show of Boy's skills on the Ipad and have a spot of lunch with the principal.  Excellent to be getting off to this kind of start before the school year officially begins.

An excellent review as usual....at one of my fave sites:

Space centre

Boy was at the Space Centre yesterday.  A lovely indoor activity day with no avian presence.

Me:  "what did you see today?"
Boy:  "space".

Sweetness.
Also got the link to photos from camp.  He is just the cutest, but he looks so shy.  Other kids with their helmets on for rock climbing and the "big swing".  Not our Boy.

The Birds - not just a Hitchcock film.

So it was Second Beach for the Boy yesterday with daycamp.  Apparently there were a ton of dogs and birds.  Bird fear has now surpassed dog fear.  There goes the outdoors!

Trucking along

Boy had a good day at daycamp yesterday.  Spent time in the gym as it was raining.  Had fun rolling around in the mats and apparently used lots of words with his volunteer to continue doing just that.  It is a nicer day today and I think there is a beach/water component to the activities for today.  Good thing!
Can't even mention the S-C-H-O-O-L word without protest.  Could be an issue for the meet the teacher that is supposed to happen on the 31st.  Just no answer back from the principal.

Catch up on the weekend

So Boy had a wonderful time at the beach on Saturday.  Frolicked about in the little waves, big grin the whole time.  Ahh, but then the birds....  I think his fear of birds has surpassed his fear of dogs.  It was bad enough that he wanted to go home!  Poor dear.
Last week of Daycamp is now upon us.  He will be sorry when that is over.  It has truly been the highlight of his summer! and such a successful time he has had there too.  Terrific group of leaders and volunteers this year.

A good week!

Boy had a great week at DCC. This is a great group of leaders and volunteers. They really get it and understand what autism " looks like". So, after such a great week, boy was entitled to some DQ.
Nice breakfast with hubby and son number one. Quiet and relaxed.
Why is it that some people can come into town, then assume you are free all weekend? Like we aren't over scheduled in general.
